About Seed Nutrition

About Clare

Hello and welcome to Seed Nutrition, I’m Clare, a Registered Nutritional Therapist and I trained at the prestigious College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM).

I specialise in Women's Health particularly child bearing years from pregnancy, postpartum, to Motherhood and Early Years Nutrition.

I support tired, worn out Mum’s who want to reclaim their energy and address any health concerns using a holistic approach and diet and lifestyle changes supported by the latest science.

I have a huge interest in the Maternal Microbiome - how are gut health can determine our overall health and how a mothers gut health can shape her babies future health.

I work from my clinic in Bristol or run virtual clinics at flexible times to suit family life. I chose the name Seed because it represents my growth and journey to a better, healthier me! Seed is also my symbol for fertility and the growth of a new born into adulthood.

I became interested in nutrition in my late 20’s due to burn out. Up until then I had lived life in the fast lane! I drank a lot, slept erratically, socialised until the early hours, ate junk food, skipped meals which lead to an array of seemingly unrelated symptoms, including anxiety, depression, feeling on edge, heart burn, weight gain, digestive issues, poor complexion.

I knew I needed to make a change but I didn't quite know how. I returned from a year’s ‘time out’ in Australia and after seeing the healthy lifestyle people were living in Melbourne I enrolled on CNM’s Biomedicine and Nutritional Therapy course and just in that first year I was able to turn my health around and make a connection between all my perceived unrelated symptoms. I then focused my attention on nutrition and health for preconception.

I am Mum to my 3 year old daughter Lyla. It is important for me to provide the healthiest most natural start to life that I can give her and to share my knowledge with other mum's.

Why?

I started Seed Nutrition to support new Mum’s, experienced Mum’s and Mum’s to be as I felt there wasn’t enough readily available information about the importance of nutrition for conception, pregnancy and postpartum recovery.

If you need advice on any level in order to make a change and move forward with your health I offer different levels of support on my Pre & Post Natal Packages. I aim to support and work with my clients to help them take control of their health. I offer detailed nutrition, lifestyle and supplement plans to support you on your journey through motherhood.

Qualifications

I trained for 3 years at The College of Naturopathic Medicine in Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy which included 200 hours of clinic time as well as study. I later went on to study Child and Adolescent Nutrition with The School of Health Sciences and Optimal Nutrition for Postnatal Recovery with Burrell Education.

I actively attend seminars and talks in my fields of interest as part of my continued professional development.

I enjoy cooking and creating new recipes and post my meals on my Instagram page @seednutritionaltherapy

Don’t put up with health problems big or small, motherhood is about thriving not just surviving.

Book an appointment to find out more or email me using my contacts form. I offer a free health call to help you figure out if we are a good fit and find out which programme is right for you.

During the session you’ll be able to tell me about your current situation and where you would like to be. There’s no pressure to commit, if we are not the right fit.

My Approach

I believe optimum health starts before we are even conceived and that our mothers diet and our first foods as an infant set us up for life. With that said it is never too late to change your diet!

I am also a lover of food and it is important to me that any treatment plan I give you is an enjoyable experience and individual to your needs, likes and dislikes.

I am passionate about how we can use diet and lifestyle to improve our health and wellbeing and look forward to working with you to achieve this.

I use a functional medicine approach to my work using up to date medical research to formulate my individually tailored diet and lifestyle plans.

I’m a member of BANT and the ANP and registered with the CNHC.
