Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a dietician, nutritionist and a nutritional therapist?
Sometimes the difference can be unclear so here is a brief description.
Dieticians assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems. They work with individuals or in a wider public health setting, and multi-disciplinary team to advise on diet or side effects of medication. They have a degree in dietetics or nutrition and follow government health guidelines.
Nutritionists are qualified to provide information about food and healthy eating but are not governed by an awarding body. They can work in public health, local and national government and private sector.
Nutritionists work to prevent disease or work alongside dieticians in a hospital setting.
Nutritional therapists work in the private sector and give diet and lifestyle advise on a one-one basis, tailoring the plan to meet the individuals needs. Their aim is to promote optimal health and wellbeing with a plan that takes into account past and present health issues and uses nutrition or alternative health care.
They are registered with the appropriate awarding body for their recognised qualification such as the Complimentary and Natural Healthcare Council.

45 minute follow up appointments are £50
Supplements and lab testing are additional and prices vary on my recommendation.
*Fees include reasonable contact regarding any questions surrounding your plan or any side effects of the plan and supplements. If there is any contact beyond this I will charge extra for my time at a rate of £25 per 30 minutes
